Packer - 3rd Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Packs bags of chips into cartons.
• Assembles cartons, applies stickers and packs cases according to case specifications while verifying the package quality of finished product.
• Performs visual inspections of chips, quality of chips and chip packages and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor / lead of any problems.
• Performs rework as needed.
• Covers “pick out” lines and recognizes bad product.
• Performs daily sanitation tasks.
• Performs weekly sanitation tasks.
• Performs monthly sanitation tasks.
• Maintain GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Maintains and follows all Safety guidelines.
• Maintain appropriate housekeeping standards.
• Gives lunch and work breaks.
• Trains new packers.
• Preforms additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Requires basic reading and math skills.
• Requires knowledge of product quality and basic operations acquired through training.
• Able to communicate production issues to fellow co-workers and supervision.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Able to perform constant and repetitive motion in a physically demanding position.
