About the role
Wilsonart in Temple, Texas has an opening for a Packer in the Cut-To-Size department. This person will assist with inspecting laminate, setting up tables, pallets and skids for inspection process. Under the direction of the Team Lead/Supervisor. Perform other tasks as required. This is for the night crew.
Responsibilities
- Flip laminate
- Load and unload saws
- Band pallets
- Operate lifts
- Inspect laminate
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Set up tables, pallets and skids for inspection process
- Move inspected material to staging area for MJ saw
- Change saw blades when working on saws
Requirements
- One year of work experience is required
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to read a tape measure (to 16th)
Working Conditions
Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs). The work environment is located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights.
