Packaging Technician

Location: Athens, GA • Temp – 3-month duration • Onsite

About the role

Operate and maintain packaging equipment in a cGMP-compliant manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment (labelers, pick-and-place, heat tunnel, vision systems, forklift, etc.).
• Inspect product accurately and efficiently to meet quality guidelines.
• Perform equipment change-over and set-up.
• Conduct initial troubleshooting for packaging equipment issues (labelers, pick-and-place, heat tunnel, etc.).
• Ensure proper cGMP documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Read, understand, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Prepare QA line clearances (e.g., small-volume line).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Maintain facilities and equipment per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Cross-train in other department areas as needed to meet business needs.
• Communicate processing needs, progress, and any process occurrences to shift line leader and/or supervisor.
• Communicate facility and inventory needs daily.
• Monitor processes against manufacturing records, data capture forms, and SOPs.
• Participate in Daily Performance Review (Team).
• Complete batch tickets with materials consumed during execution.
• Provide feedback on proposed process improvements.
• Adhere to defined process sequences.

Requirements

• High school diploma; associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Detail-oriented with effective communication skills and quality-conscious mindset.
• Equipment/process troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Preferred: 5+ years of related experience; forklift certification.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Pay

$18.01 – $19.28 per hour.
