Packaging Technician

About the Role

Safe and efficient operations by completing, supporting, and participating in all assigned tasks. Ensure all Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Production policies, procedures, SOPs, and regulations related to the area are followed.

• Loading of finished products in various bulk containers
• Package material to correct weight and verify label and packaging documentation
• Complete Packaging Reports as well as daily inspections
• Meet daily Production quota set by Unit Supervision
• Monitor the process in the field and/or in control room to identify and report unusual and unsafe conditions
• Identify routine maintenance requirements
• Perform minor maintenance to piping and equipment as needed
• Participate in activities, meetings, and projects which will enhance plant safety, environmental, reliability, cost, and production performance
• Must be highly motivated and able to work in a team environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Ability to lift 60 lbs
• Mechanical aptitude (proper tools for maintenance activity) within the plant
• Experience in operating a forklift or ability to learn
• Good problem-solving skills
• Basic Computer Skills
