About the role
This is a 6-month contract position located in Athens, GA, operating on the 2nd shift (2:30 pm to 11 pm).
Responsibilities
- Package vaccines and run packaging machinery.
- Label and package finished goods, ensuring compliance with quality guidelines.
- Operate packaging equipment (e.g., labelers, pick and place, heat tunnel, vision systems, forklift) to meet target line rates.
- Perform accurate and efficient product inspections.
- Conduct equipment change-over and set-up, including initial troubleshooting for packaging equipment issues (e.g., labelers, pick and place, heat tunnel).
- Ensure proper cGMP documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Read, understand, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare QA line clearances (e.g., Small Volume Line).
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including facilities and equipment as required by SOPs.
- Cross-train in other areas within the department to meet business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Line Leader or Supervisor.
Communication
- Communicate processing needs to co-workers.
- Report progress several times a day to the Shift Line Leader and/or Supervisor.
- Escalate any process occurrences to the Shift Line Leader and/or Supervisor in real time.
- Communicate facility and inventory-related needs daily.
Assessment
- Monitor processes against manufacturing records, data capture forms, and SOPs.
- Participate in Daily Performance Reviews (Team).
Systems
- Complete batch tickets with materials consumed during execution.
- Provide feedback on the feasibility of proposed improvements.
- Adhere to defined process sequences.
