Packaging Technician

Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot, operate, and change over automated filler, box forming, and packing equipment.
• Manual loading of packaging materials (e.g., cups, foil, shippers).
• Stage packaging supplies utilizing pallet jacks.
• Perform and record production and quality controls.
• Clean and sterilize packaging equipment manually and clean in place.
• Preventative machine maintenance.
• Follow Daisy Brand food safety and quality protocols.
• Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), housekeeping, and safe work practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; maintenance-related background preferred.
• Packaging machine operation and troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Attention to detail regarding machine operation and outgoing package quality.
• Must be able to understand and follow all GMP and Safety requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and twist throughout shift.
• Must be able to multitask while working with a team.
• Experience in food/dairy production environment preferred.

Schedule

• Weekly Schedule: 4x10 (Two weekdays + Friday and Saturday).
• Schedule rotation may be required for the first 3 months for training purposes.
• 1st Shift: 6:00am to 4:40pm
• 2nd Shift: 4:00pm to 2:30am
• 3rd Shift: 10:00pm to 6:30am

Pay

• Entry-level positions start at $23.50/hr.
• 10% premium pay for off-hours work.
• 15% premium pay for weekend work.
