Packaging Technician

About the role

This is a full-time, 2nd shift position operating within our production facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment
• Input production data in MII and performance data in the computer system
• Input production downtime information into RtDuet
• Collect samples and perform quality checks
• Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
• Handle housekeeping tasks
• Repalletize and dispose of distressed product
• Perform changeover tasks
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
• Minimum age of 18 years to work in a production facility
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions (heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.) with personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a production or plant environment
