Packaging Supervisor (2ND-3RD)

As Packaging Supervisor, you'll play a key leadership role in driving production, developing employees, and ensuring safe, efficient operations on the production floor. Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of all packaging lines under the direction of the Shift Manager.
- Coordinate employee activities, including work assignments, rotations, schedules, attendance, and staffing needs.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide hiring, coaching, disciplinary, and termination recommendations.
- Collaborate with management to maximize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Enforce all company policies, including safety, GMP, FDA regulations, break and meal periods, and company standards of conduct.
- Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues in accordance with company policies.
- Train, coach, and develop operators and line employees to improve productivity and performance.
- Ensure all packaging equipment is operating safely and efficiently, and report equipment issues as needed.
- Assign daily housekeeping and sanitation tasks to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Track production downtime, efficiency losses, and communicate opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all products meet established quality standards and food safety requirements.
- Review and complete required quality control documentation accurately and timely.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
- Maintain Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification and ensure proper compliance with LOTO procedures.
- Communicate production updates, shift activities, and operational issues effectively during shift handoffs.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Schedule
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (1 position available)
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (1 position available)
Requirements
- Previous experience leading or directing employees in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, and diagnosing production or packaging equipment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees and management.
- Basic math skills and the ability to interpret production information.
- Working knowledge of FDA regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or packaging operations.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.

Pay
$60,000 – $70,000 per year.
