About the role
Cella is seeking a Packaging Production Designer to join a highly dynamic, fast-paced creative team. This unique role allows you to own the entire packaging pipeline—from initial 2D/3D concept sketches and materials all the way to production-ready artwork.
Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Director of Packaging to concept, design, and develop packaging and component solutions.
- Managing multiple packaging projects simultaneously within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Creating production-ready artwork for primary and secondary packaging in strict accordance with established brand packaging charters.
- Leading creative collaboration with Marketing, Product Development, and other cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible, executable, and aligned with brand objectives.
- Working closely with external vendors and production partners to refine designs, ensuring luxury quality compliance and manufacturing feasibility.
- Organizing and maintaining creative asset and design file libraries, including establishing proper naming conventions for fonts, icons, images, templates, and tutorials.
- Conducting continuous research and competitive analysis on luxury industry trends to contribute fresh, innovative content ideas.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience demonstrating strong technical and conceptual capabilities across both 2D and 3D design.
- Education: A Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience.
- Industry Background: Proven experience as a packaging designer. Prior experience in beauty and/or luxury product industries is highly preferred, though packaging design backgrounds within the toy, food, or beverage industries are acceptable.
- 3D Modeling & Rendering: Pristine rendering experience is essential, and proficiency in Rhino and Solidworks is a strict requirement.
- Software Skills: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator). Proficiency with Figma and working knowledge/conceptual experience with Artificial Intelligence (Ai) tools.
- Technical Knowledge: Expert knowledge of Mac/System software, including basic Mac/PC compatibility troubleshooting. Knowledge of PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams is a plus.
- Core Competencies: Proven ability to work accurately within established brand guidelines. Familiarity with market research, product placement advertising, web development, digital marketing concepts, and professional project management tools.

Pay
Compensation Range: $38.00 - $41.00 per hour (max)
