Packaging Operator

About the role

The Machine Operator performs repetitive production and packing operations to mass-produce products such as preforms. They are responsible for ensuring that all parts meet customer specifications, monitoring production flow, and reporting any issues to supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Operates production equipment to mold and assemble parts
• Monitors and adjusts equipment to maintain quality standards
• Checks parts for defects and places non-conforming parts on hold
• Packs parts into boxes and completes daily reports
• Notifies supervisors of quality issues or equipment malfunctions
• Maintains cleanliness and starts-up molds according to set-up sheets

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One-year certificate from college or technical school
• One to two years of related experience
• Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions
• Basic math skills to calculate production-related data
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Must be GMP/HACCP/Food Security Trained
