About the role
The Machine Operator performs repetitive production and packing operations to mass-produce products such as preforms. They are responsible for ensuring that all parts meet customer specifications, monitoring production flow, and reporting any issues to supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Operates production equipment to mold and assemble parts
- Monitors and adjusts equipment to maintain quality standards
- Checks parts for defects and places non-conforming parts on hold
- Packs parts into boxes and completes daily reports
- Notifies supervisors of quality issues or equipment malfunctions
- Maintains cleanliness and starts-up molds according to set-up sheets
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One-year certificate from college or technical school
- One to two years of related experience
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions
- Basic math skills to calculate production-related data
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Must be GMP/HACCP/Food Security Trained
