Packaging Material Handler

Seal & Design is a family-owned company founded and headquartered in Clarence, NY with four divisions located across the U.S. and Canada. Our product line includes gaskets, o-rings, seals, molded rubber and plastics, die-cut foams, and many other products for a wide array of sealing applications. Schedule

First Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay

$22.00 - $26.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Arrives to work on time, as scheduled, and follows the company attendance policy
• Locates and pulls materials for set up of scheduled jobs as directed by the Department Lead
• Reviews job cards prior to pulling and notifies Lead or Production Planner of any discrepancies
• Returns materials to proper warehouse location after job completion
• Assists in putting away parts & materials for stock (manufactured & resale)
• Performs cycle counts of stock and non-stock items as directed
• Records stock transfers/transactions in the ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy
• Completes housekeeping activities including keeping materials organized and in proper locations, tightening up space as needed
• Cross-trained in Clean & Pack responsibilities to provide coverage for PTO and heavy workload
• Operates material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner and observes all other safety and security procedures

Requirements

• HS Diploma and 1 to 2 years related experience
• Proficiency working in a computer-supported environment with business software
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Basic math skills
• Able to manage priorities and workflow; able to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
