Delivery Material Handler

Gulfeagle Supply is a family‑owned business with over 100 locations nationwide, serving professional contractors, homeowners, building owners, architects, and general contractors with residential and commercial roofing and building products. Responsibilities

• Delivery: Load or assist in loading and securing materials on trucks daily; verify material quantities for accuracy; assist the driver in locating the job site; spot the driver when backing up; direct driver in placement of the conveyor; unload or assist in unloading materials using forklift, crane, conveyor, or by hand, walking varying distances as needed.
• Roof Top: Climb up to a 40‑foot ladder to deliver materials on roofs with pitches up to 8/12; ensure proper stacking and distribution of materials on the roof.
• Equipment: Ensure the truck is properly equipped for delivery, including filling the cooler, strapping materials, loading the ladder, and other necessary items.
• OSHA Compliance: Follow OSHA requirements for personal safety and company standards.
• Inventory: Assist in taking inventory quarterly or as needed.
• Maintenance: Keep warehouse, yard, and trucks presentable; perform minor repairs as needed.
• Safety: Handle materials safely using back brace, gloves, shoes, and other safety devices; aid in safe operation of vehicles on customer and company property.
• Customer Service: Assist customers with materials, report delivery problems, address service issues, and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English or Spanish as required by the branch location.
• Knowledge of roofing materials and/or construction and distribution.
• Must pass a substance‑abuse screening; random screenings are conducted under company policy.

Skills and Abilities

• Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Bend, reach, lift, and climb; lift up to 100 lb of material continuously for up to two hours.
• Work on multi‑story buildings at various heights.
• Work in hot, cold, rain, or shine conditions.
• Maintain high attention to detail to ensure proper delivery and prevent damage.
• Demonstrate loyalty to Gulfeagle Supply.
• Interact courteously and professionally with the public; use tact and diplomacy with customer personnel at delivery points.
• Perform all job functions safely.
