About the role
The Packaging Maintenance Supervisor supports high-speed packaging operations at the Hammond Dove Bar Factory. Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting maintenance activities for packaging equipment.
- Driving preventive maintenance programs and monitoring equipment performance.
- Leading root cause analysis of breakdowns and coordinating shutdown activities.
- Training and mentoring a team of mechanics.
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure production continuity.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and GMP standards.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting maintenance activities for packaging equipment.
- Developing and executing preventive maintenance programs.
- Monitoring equipment performance and identifying corrective maintenance needs.
- Leading root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Planning and coordinating shutdown activities and maintenance schedules.
- Training and coaching a team of mechanics.
- Working collaboratively with parts storeroom, planning teams, and suppliers.
- Collaborating with area owners and other maintenance supervisors.
- Following and enforcing safety, quality, and GMP rules and regulations.
- Providing leadership and direction to the maintenance team.
Requirements
Required qualifications include:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with 1 year of manufacturing maintenance supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Experience using CMMS systems like SAP or MS DMS.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior supervisory experience in a union environment is preferred.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $88,600 to $133,000.
