Packaging Coordinator (Nights) - Plymouth, IN

About the role

This position is responsible for safely and effectively setting up and maintaining the packaging areas. It involves adhering to Pretzel’s GMPs, maintaining daily cleaning checklists, communicating with supervisors, PMO’s, and packers, and ensuring minimal and reworked overruns.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SSOP compliance and set up the packaging area safely and effectively
• Communicate with supervisors, PMO’s, and packers
• Review line sheets for changeovers, special labels, chep pallets, etc.
• Follow schedule priority according to line sheet
• Understand and use S4 Hana and job tracker
• Communicate changeover status and rework any overruns
• Print lead labels and first case verifications
• Set up job accordingly with boxes, labels, a scale, tape, and skids
• Refill Zebra printers with labels and ribbon as needed
• Load job into computer for Zebra printer and verify with lead label
• Set up bulk lines accordingly to lead label, color bags, boxes, etc.
• Avoid damaged cases leaving packaging room and assist with repack as needed
• Pull finished product to the wrapper or to the warehouse staging area
• Ensure skids have correct LP and wrap skids
• Print and apply license plates
• Continually work on housekeeping
• Follow safety rules and policies
• Complete required trainings, including Alchemy, timely
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 1-month related experience or training
• Proficiency of the English language (read, write, and speak English)
• Basic math skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Pay

Starting at $21.16/hr. Overnight shift has $1.00/hr shift differential.

Schedule

2-2-3 schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off rotation. Working 3-4 days/week.
