Packaging Associate

Prepare, weigh, label, and package cannabis products at our cultivation facility in Frederick, Maryland. Maintain accuracy in weight, fulfillment, and labeling to ensure compliance with state regulations, high-quality standards, and daily production quotas. Assist the Post Harvest team as needed with harvesting, bucking, and trimming. This position requires MCA badging, including fingerprinting and passing a background check.

Responsibilities

• Package plant material with proper labeling to ensure compliance with state regulations, including preparing products for delivery.
• Perform quality control evaluation throughout all processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including managing proper waste disposal.
• Load and unload items from machines, carts, and dollies.
• Maintain daily logs for various processes.
• Follow all state cannabis compliance laws and procedures.

Working Conditions

• Daily work in a busy cannabis cultivation facility with exposure to bright lights, loud fans/filtration systems, and fluctuating temperatures.
• Varying lengths of standing, sitting, and bending over.
• Exposure to chemicals found in crop production facilities (e.g., fertilizers).
• Proper PPE will be provided and must be worn at all times when necessary.

• Adherence to state cannabis laws and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion.
• Must be at least 21 years of age with valid proof of identification.
• Must pass a fingerprinting and background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years working in a production environment.
• Experience processing cannabis or other botanicals (highly desirable).
• Solid understanding of cannabis laws, rules, and regulations, with a passion for furthering industry knowledge.
