Schedule

  • 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday (four 10-hour shifts)
  • No weekends or holidays

Pay

$16.00–$18.00 per hour

About the role

The Packaging Team Member is responsible for the efficient operation of the light packaging and curd room lines while accurately filling and securing our products to ship to customers. This position must practice safety in all aspects of the job, interact well with all other departments, and be willing to learn and assist in other areas as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain duties of the department as per packaging supervisor’s instructions
  • Inspect package and seal of product in correct packaging
  • Assure proper labeling per order as set by the supervisor
  • Stack finished product within the proper boxes on a pallet
  • Understand the cleanup operation of the packaging department
  • Season cheese curds while following flavor profiles provided by the supervisor
  • Inspect weight and seal retail packages of cheese
  • Properly record production data
  • Maintain a sanitary workspace according to the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Follow all current company policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Reliable attendance and on-time arrival
  • Ability to read and follow directions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol screen as well as a general background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

  • Eagerness and willingness to learn and work in the dairy industry
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer knowledge

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs repetitively
  • Stand for up to 10 hours per shift
  • Food plant environment; must adhere to all food and plant safety policies and regulations
  • Work with chemicals for cleaning purposes
