Packager LUSY Days 12hr shift / Every other weekend off

About the role

Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is seeking a reliable and meticulous Packager based in Brattleboro, VT. In this role, you'll ensure the quality and accuracy of our food products by moving them from the filler line to the prep area for distribution. You'll work as part of a collaborative team, and your ability to multitask and prepare shipments properly will be key to your success.

Responsibilities

• Pick, sort, and place materials.
• Prepare shipments.
• Move products using manual or motorized equipment.
• Work on the assigned line to assist with the packaging of yogurt containers by way of machine and/or hand packing.
• Uphold quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within designated areas.
• Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations.
• Set up the oncoming shift for a successful run.
• Perform any duties necessary to support the team.
• Obtain information necessary to perform duties at pre-shift tailgate meetings and by meeting with outgoing employees.
• Vigilantly monitor equipment operation for indications of impending problems and possible operational improvements.
• Operate a pallet jack (training provided if needed).
• Maintain food safety and quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
• Wear food safety/sanitation clothing and conform to personal hygiene regulations.
• Report food safety problems to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
• Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.

Schedule

This is a temporary position with a rotating shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (2 days on, 3 days off).

Pay

Hourly wage: $18.50.
