Package Pickup Host - Dollywood Theme Park - Part Time Seasonal

About the role

We are seeking a Package Pickup Host who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand. The ideal Package Pickup Host will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. This role provides service to encourage merchandise spending and convenience by delivering packages from merchandise and festival booth locations to the Emporium (Exit Store) for guest pickup or delivering packages to the Resort trolley for Dream More Resort and Heart Song Resort.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and daily operation of the shop and package pickup carts, including cleaning and daily inspections
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests and hosts
• Represent Dollywood positively by being friendly and courteous to guests
• Maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned schedules, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Accommodate changes in work assignments and locations
• Follow all safety guidelines for operating electric dollies
• Operate manual and electric dollies

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age
• Basic math skills
• Ability to understand instructions, retain information, and use a basic calculator
• Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of onboarding, including background screening and pre-employment drug screening

Physical and Cognitive Requirements

• Lifting and Carrying: Occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs., following company safety guidelines
• Mobility: Intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 13 hours per shift; may require travel across property, including changes in terrain, stairs, and uneven surfaces
• Repetitive Movements: Performing repetitive tasks, including repeated use of hands, arms, or other body parts
• Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat; may require working indoors and outdoors
