About the role

A proven global player in semiconductor development and in-house production, Nexperia is a world-class company with an entrepreneurial mentality. The role of Package Architect is central to the Product Group “Low Power Distribution & Protection (MAG R04)”.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate package strategy and roadmap for the Product Group “Low Power Distribution & Protection (MAG R04)”
  • Act as a recognized leader within the site and/or BG as an expert in Packaging
  • Ensure functionality and performance of the package design
  • Contribute to innovation and optimization projects with the focus on packaging
  • Build up and broaden own competencies
  • Advise internal and external customers in own field of expertise
  • Analyze technology and application trends and derive innovative solutions
  • Influence direction on BG level
  • Lead cross-functional teams for NPI-package related projects
  • Generate new design concepts and patent ideas

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Design, Physics, Materials, or a related field
  • 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience
  • 7 years of experience with semiconductor packages
  • 7 years of experience with semiconductor assembly materials and processes
  • 7 years of experience with 6σ-methodology including DoE and Data Analysis
  • 7 years of experience with semiconductor reliability tests and failure modes
  • 5 years of experience with Project Management in the semiconductor industry

Qualifications

  • Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week
  • International travel required up to 5%
  • Domestic travel required up to 5%
