Pack QA Inspector I - Night Shift

About the role

This role uses equipment and computerized systems to produce, evaluate, process, disassemble suspect or defective lithium-ion batteries. Responsibilities may include disassembling and disposing of scrap/raw materials, filling out reports, and escalating results to appropriate team members. Additionally, the role involves conducting quality checks, troubleshooting, basic equipment maintenance, collecting qualifying products, and packaging for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality standards are followed.
• Check product and production process for desired quality to specifications.
• Monitor data from measuring devices.
• Work with teams and individuals to ensure safety standards are being adhered to.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment.
• Create work orders or instructions as needed.
• Engage in troubleshooting and report unresolved issues.
• Identify defects during sales analysis.
• Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container.
• Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOPs during downtime (e.g., line stop, waiting time), including cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Vocational Certificate or Associate Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.
• 1 to 3+ years of related experience.
• Manufacturing experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours: Safety glasses, Steel-toed shoes, Latex Gloves, Nitrile Gloves.
• Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours up to 7 days a week: Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, Stoop/twist/bend, Reach overhead, Sit and/or stand.
