Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying product quality by performing inspections on the production line. The incumbent verifies on-going conformance with established quality standards and rejects non-conforming parts for inconsistent color, function, fit and cosmetic defects. Responsibilities Support the Quality Department in maintaining the highest quality standards for all products and finished goods. Inspect finished products before transitioning to the next department or holding area Documenting quality assurance activities and creating audit reports Making recommendations for improvement Conducting layered audits and quality checks Generating detailed quality reports as necessary Identifying visual defects and contributing to quality decisions Follow all environmental, health and safety policies. Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R StandardsSort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, SustainRight Location, Right Quantity, Right ContainerPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or GED This position supports continuous manufacturing operations. Employees are expected to demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability to ensure safe and efficient production operations. Team members must be able to work scheduled shifts; overtime as required and maintain dependable attendance in accordance with company attendance policies. Experience 1+ years previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Demonstrated reliable work history and consistent attendance in prior employment. Skills Identify visual defects and contribute to quality decisions Properly use quality gauges, tools and devices Strong problem-solving skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Proficient in math, reading and writing Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to maintain focus and attention to detail while monitoring automated equipment in a continuous production environment. Physical Requirements Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours: Safety glassesSteel-toed shoesNitrile glovesEar protectionCleanroom suit Must be able to perform the following activities repeatedly for periods of up to 12 hours: Lift, push, and pull materials or equipment up to 20 poundsOccasionally twist, bend, and reach overheadSit and/or stand for extended periodsUse hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer systems Work Environment Work may involve handling or working in proximity to hazardous materials and regulated industrial chemicals.Exposure to chemical vapors, dust, or other controlled substances may occur depending on process assignment.Strict adherence to company safety policies and OSHA Hazard Communication requirements is mandatory.Employees must properly wear and maintain assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times within designated areas.Required PPE may include respirators, chemical-resistant garments, gloves, eye protection, face shields, or other equipment determined by process and risk assessment.
