Pack and Ship Coordinator
About the role
The Pack and Ship Coordinator will be responsible for retrieving order and packing specification information, retrieving pack supplies, moving buggies of extrusions, overseeing saw activity, scheduling trucks, and packing materials.
Responsibilities
- Covers essential duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description.
- Determines packing material and supplies needed based on production schedules.
- Schedules trucks for shipments to customers or outside processors.
- Completes forms, manifests, bill of lading as required.
- Develops new part packing instructions to meet customer requirements.
- Implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.
- Solves work problems individually or on a team and assists workers in solving work problems.
- Unloads ovens and verifies proper testing completion before packing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of packing experience.
- Valid forklift operator’s license and prior forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, speak effectively, calculate figures, apply algebra and geometry, solve problems, and interpret instructions.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
