Job Description
The PA evaluates, treats, and manages patients with urology conditions under the supervision of a registered physician. Responsibilities include writing admission orders, performing detailed histories and physicals, first assisting in the operating room, participating in patient rounds, and completing medical records.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA recognized Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission or Education for Physician Assistant (ACR-PA)
- PA - Physician Assistant license
- American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification
Skills
- Able to practice medical services under the supervision of a licensed physician
- Knowledgeable in ACLS and BLS protocols
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Ability to write and sign progress notes, discharge summaries, and transfer summaries
- Proficient in medication ordering and record keeping
- Familiarity with safety protocols and equipment operation
