Urology- NP/PA
About the Role
Erlanger is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a busy outpatient Urology practice focused on the evaluation and management of stone disease and general urologic conditions. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work collaboratively with board-certified urologists to provide comprehensive patient care, including outpatient consultations, follow-up visits, diagnostic evaluations, patient education, and care coordination.
This position follows a team-based approach to care, where team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. The APP will coordinate care for patients, support self-management and behavior change, and manage the practice's patient population. The role also involves participating in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based protocols and individualized plans of care for patients.
- Collect, document, and analyze patient data.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement testing and treatment according to protocols.
- Participate in the development and implementation of health screening programs for adolescents and adults.
- Develop protocols for identifying high-risk individuals.
- Provide community and corporate education on urological topics.
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan and assess patient data to meet age-specific needs.
- Participate in clinical research and may assume the role of research coordinator, including education and enrollment in clinical trials.
Requirements
- Completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program (Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner) or Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Tennessee.
- Preferred: Certification in areas of specialty.
- Preferred: Minimum of three years of experience in a physician office setting.

- Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
- Competency in clinical research coordination (preferred).
