Your future role at a glance Specialty: General SurgerySchedule: 36 patient contact hoursPractice Detail: 1.0 FTEEMR System: EPICFacility: Ascension Columbia St. Mary's HospitalLocation: Milwaukee, Wisconsin How you’ll make an impact in this role Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with call coverage on a as-needed basis Team Structure: Work closely alongside a supportive team of 4 physician providers and 1 fellow APP.Conduct comprehensive patient health histories, physical assessments, and preventative screenings.Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures to guide effective clinical decision-making.Provide, manage, and thoroughly document direct treatment plans for a wide variety of surgical and specialty conditions.Deliver compassionate counseling and health education to patients and family caregivers regarding treatment options, care management, and community support resources What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need Licensure / Certification / Registration Required Credential(s):Physician Assistant credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Preferred Credential(s):Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred. Work Experience 1 year of experience preferred.
