Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and provide routine primary care to improve patient health outcomes
  • Take medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop and manage treatment plans for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Assist with opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payment, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a clean environment
  • Administer vaccinations, conduct health screenings, and educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyles
  • Work with supervising physicians, nurses, and medical assistants to deliver comprehensive care
  • Participate in outreach activities to raise awareness about the mobile clinic’s services and engage with the community
  • Actively participate in leadership-level planning for the best growth opportunities

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, with current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification
  • Currently licensed or eligible for Missouri PA licensure, with a collaborative practice agreement in place
  • Clinical experience in primary care or community health preferred
  • Experience with EHR preferred
  • Able and willing to provide world-class service to all stakeholders

Work Environment

100% onsite – PA is expected to travel with the mobile clinic team to nearby mobile health locations. This role is based out of Poplar Bluff, MO.
