About the Role
Join the Cayuga Health Emergency Medicine PA team as a part-time provider (.81 FTE), working approximately 9 clinical shifts per month (108 clinical hours). This position is based in Montour Falls, New York, within a dynamic, provider-led health system that prioritizes work-life balance, professional growth, and excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide care for a wide range of acute and minor conditions, including:
- Acute respiratory conditions
- Cardiac conditions
- Gastrointestinal conditions
- Neurological conditions
- Orthopedic conditions
- Poisonings
- Psychiatric conditions
- Trauma
- Abscess care
- Asthma (mild to moderate)
- Back pain (non-trauma related)
- Minor bone/joint injuries
- Minor burns, cuts, puncture wounds, and animal bites
- Cough
- Mild to moderate dehydration
- Dental pain
- Ear pain/wax removal
- Eye drainage or foreign body removal
- Minor facial lacerations
- Gastrointestinal illness
- Influenza
- Simple lacerations
- Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
- Pregnancy testing
- Rashes and allergic reactions
- Sore throat
- Skin complaints
- Sprains, strains, and simple fractures
- Sinusitis
- Sexually transmitted infections
- Stitch removal
- Tick removal
- Urinary symptoms
- Vaginitis
- Viral illnesses
- Wound check/packing changes
- Workers' compensation injuries (first visit)
