P6 Scheduler (Data Center Construction)

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced P6 Scheduler to support a large-scale data center construction program in the Austin, TX area. This individual will partner closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, subcontractors, and field leadership to develop and maintain project schedules, manage resource allocation, and ensure critical milestones are achieved on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, field teams, subcontractors, and general contractors to create implementation schedules from project kickoff through completion
  • Monitor project progress, resource utilization, and schedule performance
  • Identify schedule variances, risks, and critical path impacts, and provide recommendations for corrective actions
  • Maintain workload distribution and track installation and delivery progress
  • Support the preparation of weekly and monthly project reporting
  • Analyze critical path activities and provide schedule updates to project stakeholders
  • Review project documentation, specifications, drawings, and reporting requirements
  • Aid in continuous process improvement initiatives related to scheduling and project controls
  • Support earned value reporting and resource-loading activities
  • Perform additional scheduling and project controls responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience using Primavera P6
  • Experience scheduling projects within data center construction or commercial/industrial construction environments
  • Strong understanding of: Critical Path Method (CPM), Resource loading and forecasting, Schedule development and maintenance, Milestone management, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Baseline schedules and schedule updates
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, project specifications, and project documentation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building schedules from scratch
  • Knowledge of earned value reporting
  • Familiarity with schedule levels, nodes, logic relationships, and schedule health metrics
  • Experience supporting large-scale mission-critical or data center construction projects
