P1 Project Mgr

Responsibilities

• Manage operationally and functionally the Projects assigned
• Manage OEM/OES Projects (Component, System with known technology components, …)
• Ensure achievement of Project KPIs in terms of profitability (product/development vs Development Activity Payback and Extended Margin), Quality, and Production Preparation
• Secure and control Project resources
• Drive the Associated P2 Actors in case of P2 not completed in P1
• Solve all project issues requiring support from suitable functions via Project Escalation
• Check and validate Project Team Members’ activities and propose timing scenarios to achieve milestones
• Conduct concept competitions to obtain customer orders (preferably on a case-by-case basis)
• Define and manage budget, including the budget of Projects part of the assigned Project/System
• Define scope of projects
• Prepare decision-making process for relevant committees and challenge project team readiness
• Prepare and submit CAA and IAR (Project/System level) and challenge the P1 Project Managers or Launch Managers
• Manage all project changes (internal and customer) and coordinate through the team
• Apply Design to Cost methodology
• Escalate gaps versus targets at the right level and with relevant speed/anticipation
• Lead AAI and development of all PTMs from the team
• Functionally responsible for all PTMs, set project objectives, and ensure appraisal of Project Team Members
• Manage communication with Customers on Project development progress and keep client(s) updated
• Prepare/validate reports on Project development progress to PSC, PMC, and all Governance stages when required
• Manage customer relationship (local and central) and coordinate communication within the team and with associated P2/P1 projects
• Ensure management of Escalation if any
• Promote Valeo Values, Culture, and Standards (Product, Methodology, Tools) within the System/Project teams and control their application
• Respect Valeo Code of ethics
• Respect health, safety, and environment charts and requirements
• Ensure Project (System or not) development in compliance with Valeo standards
