P/T .8 Business Teacher (Tenure Track)
About the role
A tenure track position is available at Mountain Lakes High School for an experienced 8th grade part-time business teacher. Appropriate New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) teaching certification is required. The position is open to candidates qualified in one of the following areas: Teacher of Comprehensive Business (1300), Teacher of Business: Finance/Economics/Law (2560), or Teacher of Marketing (2560).
Responsibilities
- Teach comprehensive business curriculum to 8th grade students.
- Implement lesson plans aligned with state standards.
- Assess student progress through various methods including quizzes, projects, and exams.
- Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to enhance educational programs.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment.
Requirements
- Appropriate New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) teaching certification.
- Experience teaching business education at the secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Education or related field preferred.
- Experience with technology integration in the classroom.
- Knowledge of current business trends and practices.
