P&D Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Insure proper hand off and execution of assigned plans or loads
• Analyze available equipment, drivers and loads
• Evaluate the operation to promote cost-efficient service and make recommendations for improvements
• Maintain communication with customers and troubleshoot problems to obtain final resolution
• Advises Area Managers, Customer Service Representatives, and/or Service Center Manager of delays or issues with after hour deliveries or in the absence of Area Manager
• Assists Linehaul Supervisors in re-powering loads and drivers when necessary
• Resolves any driver issues or concerns as appropriate
• Recommends specific disciplinary action for performance or disciplinary problems to the Service Center Manager
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills

• Minimum two years’ experience in telephone sales or dispatch
• Model professional attitude and maintains composure at all times
• Ability to inspire and lead others to attain company goals
• IT competent, previous experience with Microsoft Office and the latest software applications
• Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities
• Strong verbal/written communications
• Highly motivated, flexible and great attitude
• Organizational skills for planning, decision-making and executing with excellence
• Skilled in developing standards and process improvement
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work within a team structure
• Transportation Industry experience a plus, but not required
