Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle on an assigned route
- Deliver and pick up packages in a timely and professional manner
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Load and organize packages for efficient delivery
- Follow all FedEx safety standards and company policies
- Maintain accurate delivery records using handheld scanners and technology
- Provide excellent customer service at all delivery locations
- Work independently while meeting daily performance expectations
- Handle packages of varying sizes and weights
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Able to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull packages up to 150 lbs. with assistance as needed
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Prior delivery, transportation, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Frequent entering and exiting of delivery vehicles
- Walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and climbing stairs throughout the day
- Able to safely handle packages and equipment
- Able to work extended hours during peak seasons when needed
