Container Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Routine physical exertion (lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling carts and/or bins)
• Safe operation of the vehicle
• Providing courteous service to customers
• Completing proper documentation on deliveries and removals
• Maintaining and updating work orders
• Conducting pre-trip/post trip inspections and completing logs
• Maintaining and updating drivers log sheets
• Assisting in other projects and areas, as needed
• Maintaining a positive work atmosphere

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing)
• Ability to read and understand a map
• Ability to drive truck with a manual transmission
• General knowledge of mechanics of trucks
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers

Qualifications

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand and walk. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
