P&C Product Manager - Comparative Rater
About the role
The Product Manager - Comparative Rater at Orion180 is a key member of the Product Department. This role involves managing business decisions and rules regarding comparative raters, leading changes from identification to delivery, ensuring accurate communications, and monitoring post-launch performance.
Responsibilities
- Work with internal teams to identify raters needing enhancements.
- Lead all aspects of changes (identifying, planning, and delivery).
- Ensure defaults are properly set.
- Create project timelines and oversee delivery milestones for related initiatives.
- Ensure accurate cross-departmental communications are provided regarding new raters and changes.
- Maintain and adjust post-launch performance as needed.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in similar work.
- Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in property and casualty insurance.
- Management Experience: 2+ years of experience managing teams and projects.
- Proven Positive Leadership Experience: Ability to mentor and manage performance.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with product life cycles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with form automation tools a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively—both written and verbally—across all levels of the organization.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: Proven ability to achieve ambitious goals in an innovative and demanding environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to develop strategies informed by research, data, and industry trends.
