Ozark Center Hope Spring Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) (PT)

Responsibilities

• Interprets and evaluates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Administers, dispenses, and prescribes drugs and provides treatment within the APN’s scope of practice and consistent with the APN’s skills, training, and competence.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Completes all clinical documentation in a timely fashion as prescribed in policy and procedure.
• Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
• Maintains continuity of care between patient visits.
• Consults with or refers patients to collaborating Physicians when necessary.
• Discusses significantly abnormal lab and EKG results with the Physician.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Normal office environment.
• Prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping, and occasional lifting.
• Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.
• Requires ability to remain calm during stressful events, to occasionally work irregular hours, and work with exasperated individuals.
• Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
