About the role

The Owners Rep Project Manager will serve as the on-site Gilbane manager, responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a medium-sized construction project. This position will be on the job site every day and will fill a key role on the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-construction: Schedule, organize and coordinate meetings – including meeting minutes
  • Budget: Review and evaluate the client's overall project budget (estimating skills)
  • Track Budget: Track budget if requested
  • Document Filings: Track document filings – Designers and contractors
  • Constructability Reviews: Conduct constructability reviews
  • Scope Development: Develop scope of work
  • Bid Document Development: Develop bid documents
  • Bid Review: Review and recommend proposals
  • Permit Tracking: Track permits
  • Construction: Assist the client in developing a master progress schedule
  • Review and Coordinate: Develop 2-week look-ahead schedule, monitor vendor progress schedules
  • Evaluate: Evaluate vendor personnel and equipment commitments, assist client in minimizing delays and change orders, evaluate means and methods of construction
  • Coordinate: Coordinate temporary facilities and utilities
  • Submittal Review: Conduct submittal reviews
  • RFI Administration: Administer request for information
  • Change Order Report: Develop and validate change order reports, estimate costs
  • Construction Monitoring: Monitor safety, quality, and schedule adherence
  • Inspections: Coordinate inspections – DOB, special inspectors, design consultants
  • Material Inspections: Conduct material inspections
  • RFI Administration: Administer request for information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Healthcare project experience preferred

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of industry standard software, Microsoft Office (preferred)

Pay

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. For New York, NY this ranges from $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
