About the Role

A successful Owner Direct Account Manager is responsible for achieving revenue and margin goals by acquiring maintenance agreements, quoted service projects, quoted repairs, building automation projects, turnkey projects, and comprehensive solutions for existing buildings. This role supports Havtech’s mission to deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sale and execution of projects involving HVAC equipment, building automation, and mechanical contracting services. The individual will identify and coordinate Havtech-provided solutions to achieve or resolve a client’s environmental, operational, financial, and people goals.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect to locate and develop relationships with new clients.
  • Maintain and cultivate existing client relationships.
  • Develop a general working knowledge of all Havtech offerings.
  • Implement specific action plans to improve project closure rates and produce profitable business.
  • Develop necessary estimates as required.
  • Lead or support coordinated sales efforts involving multiple Havtech sales groups, working effectively in a team-selling environment.
  • Collect and communicate pertinent project information to operations for successful project completion.
  • Coordinate and attend site reviews as required.
  • Confirm project scope and bill of material with customers.
  • Assist with the collection of Accounts Receivable as needed.
  • Determine recommended selling strategy and initial pricing, present proposals, and negotiate price and contract terms/conditions with customers.
  • Stay current with local utility incentive programs and leverage associated rebates to improve project closure rates or margins.
  • Coordinate or engage in the project execution process as required.
  • Resolve deviations in scope with the client to preserve client experience and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Five years of experience in HVAC sales or a related technical field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to meet competing deadlines.
  • Strong customer relation and presentation skills.
  • Basic PC experience in a Windows environment, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to travel within a defined region at least 50% of the time (overnight travel is not typical).
  • Ability to function independently and deliver results.
