Position Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Pass an OSBI and DHS criminal background investigation
- Not be listed in any Registry of Sexual offenders
- Demonstrate a commitment to the vision, mission, and “spirit” of Pivot
- Demonstrate compliance to confidentiality/privacy standards required by the agency and law
- Be compassionate, respectful, and Trauma-Informed Care to all Pivot clients, consumers and Pivot staff
- Demonstrates team skills and respect the diversity and differences of others
- Demonstrate professional conduct and appearance
- Basic understanding of adolescent development and behaviors; demonstrate enjoyment of and ability to relate to at-risk youth and exhibit empathy with the joys and pains of others
- Self-motivated, initiative, sound judgment, and committed to ongoing learning
- Dependable and able to report to work in a timely manner and work a flexible schedule outside normal business hours, including weekends and holidays
- Approachable, builds rapport well, and practices attentive and active listening
- Supports equal and fair treatment and opportunity for all
- Understand and comply with all Agency policies and procedures; including Child Protection Policies
- Able to address conflict well and manage difficult youth in a supportive and non-threatening manner; able to respond quickly and safely and serve as a settling influence in crisis situations and emergencies
- Able to interpret graphs and statistical data
- Basic data entry and typing, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or a GED certificate
- Bachelor’s degree or further education in Social Work, Human Services, or Psychology preferred
- Ability to read, understand, analyze and interpret general periodicals, professional journals and government regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and maintain accurate statistical data
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, consumers, employees, management, and the general public
- Ability to perform basic high school mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions and decimals, percentage, rates and averages)
- Ability to interpret graphs and statistical data
- Basic data entry and typing, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
