Youth Care Provider - Overnight

About the role

Hays House is a critical part of the Idaho Youth Ranch family of programs, offering emergency shelter and respite care to homeless and runaway youth. It provides a safe, supportive, and caring environment for young people, including drop-in services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of daily living and individualized learning plans for youth in your care.
• Guide and support youth in carrying out daily activities such as morning routines, chores, homework, meal times, group activities, and evening routines.
• Implement treatment strategies to help youth manage behavioral and emotional responses.
• Create a consistent, safe, and supportive environment for youth to help them manage their responses.
• Build positive relationships with youth through consistent, supportive presence and engagement that demonstrates respect, care, and belief in their potential.
• Carry out duties and tasks in accordance with the program's standards and procedures (SAPs).

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Idaho driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire.

Schedule

• This position would work 4/10s from 10pm - 8am, and would include at least one weekend night.
