Overnight Veterinary Technician - ICU

Schedule

• 3x12
• Pay: $22.15 - $44.00 / hour + competitive shift differentials

Duties

• Continuous monitoring of critical patients (vitals, ECG, blood pressure, oxygenation, neurologic status)
• Administering medications, CRIs, blood products, fluids, and emergency drugs
• Managing oxygen therapy, ventilators, feeding tubes, urinary catheters, chest tubes, and central lines
• Aiding with emergency procedures such as CPR, intubation, thoracocentesis, wound care, and stabilization
• Performing diagnostics like blood draws, lab work, imaging prep, and sample collection
• Pain management and patient comfort for trauma, post-op, or medically complex cases
• Frequent reassessment and recognizing subtle changes in condition quickly
• Communicating updates to veterinarians and collaborating on treatment plans
• Informing and educating pet owners during critical hospitalizations
• Maintaining detailed medical records and treatment sheets
