BluePearl Pet Hospital in Queens, NY is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Overnight Veterinary Receptionist to join our team.

Schedule

Sunday–Tuesday, 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Pay

$21.50 – $29.50 per hour, plus competitive shift differentials. Pay band depends on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

  • Mon–Fri, 6:00 PM – 8:00 AM: +$4.50 per hour
  • Sat & Sun, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM: +$4.50 per hour
  • Sat & Sun, 6:00 PM – 8:00 AM: +$8.00 per hour
  • Shift differentials require a minimum of 4 hours worked.

Responsibilities

  • Greet every client with friendly eye contact, a warm smile, and a professional demeanor.
  • Assess each client’s urgent needs and the pet’s general condition upon arrival.
  • Determine whether an emergency arrival is “stat” or “standard.”
  • Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
  • Confirm all appointments in advance and provide clients with accurate preparation instructions.
  • Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients discreetly.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during the handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
