Overnight Sanitation Associate

About the role

The Overnight Sanitation Associate plays a crucial part in the Cranford team, ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This role is essential for preparing production areas and equipment for smooth operations, adhering to strict food safety regulations, and operating various cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas, production equipment, and tools within the manufacturing facility.
• Perform complex cleaning tasks in tight spaces, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
• Operate floor scrubbers and Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts.
• Accurately complete all related cleaning logs and records to document proper cleaning procedures.
• Strictly adhere to sanitation, chemical handling, PPE usage, product safety guidelines, and GMPs.
• Support the team by performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• At least one (1) year of experience as a cleaner in a food service or manufacturing facility.
• Demonstrated experience with GMPs and general sanitation protocols.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders comfortably.
• Ability to work in tight spaces and at varying heights (using scissor lifts or ladders).
• Extremely detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
• Punctual, reliable, and possesses an excellent work ethic.

Preferred

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
