Pay
- $23.21 - $38.58 / hour + competitive shift differentials
This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example: Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = +$4.00/hr. Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = +$4.00/hr. Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = +$5.50/hr.
Responsibilities
- Use your knowledge of anesthesia and analgesia related protocols and procedures, including formulating anesthetic plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Monitor anesthesia, trouble shoot anesthetic complications, and make appropriate interventions.
- IV catheter placement, endotracheal intubation, and anesthetic equipment use and maintenance.
- Perform physical exam; accurately counts heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
- Understand normal vital parameters and alerts doctor when abnormal.
- Set up intravenous fluids and CRI’s.
- Continuous expansion of advanced anesthetic skills, including epidurals, difficult airway intubation, and critical case management.
- Operate and monitor intravenous fluid pumps.
- Able to take patient through entire procedure from start to finish (pre-op, monitoring, post-op, and recovery).
- Manage appointments, obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.
- Disconnect and connect patients from intravenous fluids aseptically.
- Monitor patient response to fluid therapy including signs of overload.

Skills

- Experience with IV catheter placement, endotracheal intubation, and anesthetic equipment use and maintenance.
- Proficiency in performing physical exams and monitoring vital signs.
- Advanced anesthetic skills, including epidurals, difficult airway intubation, and critical case management.
- Experience operating and monitoring intravenous fluid pumps.
- Ability to manage appointments, obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.
- Experience disconnecting and connecting patients from intravenous fluids aseptically.
- Experience monitoring patient response to fluid therapy including signs of overload.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S.
- VTNE or VTS credentialing preferred.
