Responsibilities

• Provide safe, accurate prescription dispensing and patient counseling during overnight shifts.
• Ensure compliance with all state/federal pharmacy regulations and company policies.
• Oversee inventory management, including stock levels and controlled substance handling.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify orders and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation for audits and traceability.
• Lead patient safety initiatives and adverse event reporting during overnight operations.
• Utilize pharmacy systems and pipelines to track performance metrics and targets.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff to support professional development.
• Resolve customer inquiries and pharmacy-related escalations with a focus on service quality.
• Participate in on-call or shift handover procedures to ensure continuity of care.
• Aid in formulary management and cost-effective dispensing strategies.
• Maintain a high-visibility work approach by tracking activities and outcomes for stakeholders.

Experience/Qualifications

• Active pharmacist license with overnight shift eligibility and no disciplinary actions.
• Provide accurate dispensing and patient counseling during overnight hours.
• Strong knowledge of state/federal pharmacy regulations and compliance.
• Inventory management including controlled substances handling and audits.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify orders and optimize therapy.
• Accurate medication records, documentation, and traceability for audits.
• Lead patient safety initiatives and adverse event reporting.
• Utilize pharmacy systems to track performance metrics and targets.
• Mentor/coach junior staff and support professional development.
• Handle customer inquiries and pharmacy-related escalations with service focus.
• Strong time-management and prioritization to meet overnight targets.
• Participate in on-call or shift handover to ensure continuity of care.
• Aid in formulary management and cost-effective dispensing strategies.
• Maintain high visibility of work activities and outcomes for stakeholders.
