Overnight Inbound Operations Team Leader

Starting pay range: $23.50 – $25.50 per hour. Full pay range: $23.50 – $39.95 per hour. Pay is based on labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

About the role

As a General Merchandise and Food Sales team member, you’ll lead inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. You’ll also oversee Food & Beverage and Food Service, ensuring a fresh and food-safe experience, and manage pick, pack, and ship fulfillment.

The Inbound team specializes in unloading trailer deliveries and preparing merchandise for stocking on the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Train and hold team members accountable for guest experience commitments and consistent operations
• Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, improve execution, and celebrate wins
• Execute daily/weekly workload to meet department and store sales goals and guest engagement targets
• Lead operations, freshness, accuracy, and efficiency in GM areas
• Set clear goals and expectations, and hold team members accountable with guidance from leadership
• Assign daily tasks based on workload and guest traffic patterns, aligning with business priorities
• Assess GM backroom and sales floor areas to identify and resolve gaps
• Support organizational and operational change
• Build and develop a team of GM Experts from selection through onboarding and ongoing training
• Demonstrate inclusivity, ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Lead a safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, correcting hazards, and reporting incidents
• Support merchandise protection strategies, including ordering, storage, and application
• Assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities as needed
• Address store and offsite emergency and compliance needs
• Support guest services (back-up cashier, order pick-up, Drive Up) while maintaining compliance

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Age 18 or older
• Previous retail experience preferred but not required
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable
• Adaptability to current technology needs
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
• Effective communication skills
• Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
