Pay
The starting pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.50 per hour. The full pay range is $21.50 - $36.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

About the Role
Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. As a General Merchandise and Food Sales team member, you will lead inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This includes managing Food & Beverage and Food Service to ensure a fresh and food-safe experience. You will also enable efficient delivery to guests by owning pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.
The Inbound team specializes in unloading trailer deliveries and preparing merchandise to be stocked on the sales floor.
Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly experience.
- Train and ensure team members understand and deliver on Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
- Observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.
- Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, improve performance, and align the team on execution.
- Execute daily/weekly workload to meet department and store sales goals and guest engagement targets.
- Lead and share expertise in operations, freshness, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Establish clear goals and expectations, and hold team members accountable with guidance from your direct leader.
- Utilize workload planning tools to ensure areas are guest-ready at store open.
- Assign daily tasks based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.
- Assess GM backroom and sales floor areas to identify and resolve gaps.
- Assist in leading and following up on organizational and operational changes.
- Build and develop a team of GM Experts from selection through onboarding and learning.
- Provide ongoing training and direction, giving feedback on work completion.
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences.
- Model and uphold a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
- Lead a safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, correcting hazards, and holding the team accountable.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the store.
- Assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities as needed.
- Address all store and offsite emergency and compliance needs.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive-Up (DU).
- Perform all other duties based on business needs.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Age 18 or older.
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to current technology needs.

- Capability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
