Overnight Dishwasher/Porter

Specific Duties

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand
• All dishes, glassware, plastic containers, pots and pans must be put away clean, dry and grease free in a neat and organized manner
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
• Clean garbage cans with water and proper MSDS cleaning supplies
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
• Sweep, scrub and mop floors
• At no time should there be standing water on the floor anywhere in the kitchen; as per the health code violation
• Responsibilities to ensure all paper towels, soap are refilled at every handwashing sink throughout the kitchen
• Weekly deep cleaning of both ice machines also daily spot cleaning

Requirements

• Must have 2 years + experience as dishwasher/porter at a comparable restaurant or hotel
• Must have a basic understanding of the English language
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to stay on your feet for 8 hours plus
• Knowledge: Must have basic knowledge of sanitation procedures
