Overnight CT Tech

A CT Tech I is responsible for operating imaging equipment to perform procedures for a specified patient population, modeling appropriate behavior as exemplified in the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
• Effectively manages resources such as supplies and equipment.
• Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.
• Performs other job functions as assigned.
• Occasionally demonstrates job responsibilities to other Associates and observes/instructs student technologists.

Requirements

• Technical Degree or Diploma in Radiology (Required)
• Registered Radiologic Technologist – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (Required)
• No prior work experience (Preferred)

Skills

• Basic knowledge of radiographic equipment and imaging procedures.
• Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Basic knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, and PACS preferred).

Physical Demands

• Medium work – exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.
• Physical activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
• Good balance and coordination required.
• Close visual acuity, including color, depth perception, and field of vision, necessary for assessing patients, preparing data, and operating equipment.
• Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact.
• Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous or poisonous materials.
• Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
