Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and finish breads, rolls, pastries, cookies, and other bakery products
- Fry, glaze, fill, frost, and decorate donuts
- Follow established recipes, production schedules, and portion standards
- Monitor ovens, fryers, proofers, and other bakery equipment
- Ensure products meet our standards for freshness, appearance, taste, and quality
- Package, label, price, and stock completed bakery products
- Maintain appropriate production levels while minimizing waste
- Keep work areas, equipment, utensils, and floors clean and sanitary
- Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and fryer-safety procedures
- Absorb inventory, ingredient rotation, and preparation for upcoming production
- Work independently to complete daily production and have the bakery ready for opening
Qualifications
- Must be dependable and comfortable working independently overnight
- Previous bakery, donut-frying, restaurant, or food-production experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
- Ability to follow recipes, production plans, and food-safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality products
- Able to manage time effectively and complete production by established deadlines
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Available to work overnight hours, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
