Overnight Assistant Residential Supervisor
About the Role
We are seeking an Overnight Assistant Residential Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will work with adolescent boys and girls who are mild to moderately cognitively impaired with concurrent behavioral, mental health, and medical issues. Our students have often experienced complex trauma and require additional support in the classroom, as well as with emotional and behavioral difficulties, executive functioning, and life skills.
The Susan Wayne Center of Excellence (SWCE) and the River Run Academy offer intensive residential, educational, medical, and clinical services in a state-of-the-art campus with warm, home-like facilities in a pastoral setting in rural Thompson, Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Ensure program safety and compliance with safety and security procedures on site and through rotating on-call coverage.
- Support the professional development of Residential Counselors through training and supervision.
- Support all efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Support staff and programming through knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Susan Wayne Center of Excellence's Residential Department.
- Provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to maintain a safe therapeutic atmosphere for students.
- Remain awake throughout the overnight shift to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
- Transport students as required.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Residential program or mental health facility experience required.
- Supervisory experience in a mental health facility required.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
- Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future. Overtime may be mandated due to the nature of our work.
